Carlos works are a personal language I’ve developed to convey emotion and atmosphere beyond the limitations of the flat surface.
Each piece is carefully designed and constructed to be experienced on two levels. From a distance, the panels come together as cohesive images that carry emotional resonance, provide atmosphere, and shape the mood of a space. Up close, the focus shifts to a more analytical view of the work’s structure and composition: the interplay of light and shadow, the arrangement of space, and the abstract forms.
This dual experience encourages a shift between emotional immediacy and thoughtful observation, much like my own process moves between intuition and precision.
