Marie P. Mudafort

Marie P. Mudafort is a contemporary painter originally from Northern California, USA. She was awarded a BA from the National School of Fine Arts in Mexico City and currently lives and works in the Lower East Side of New York City.

An explorer of American myths and icons, P.Mudafort’s paintings evoke the fantasies and excesses of American culture, as well as its rustic Wild West ideology. With a keen eye for the powerful myths and symbols that shape American history, she seeks to poignantly represent the ever-unraveling ideology of fantasy and overindulgence.
